Burton is well known for his frequent collaborations with a number of actors, including Michael Keaton, the first modern Batman. He has also worked extensively with Johnny Depp and Burton’s own personal real life partner Helena Bonham Carter, with whom he has two children, a boy and girl. Burton has also cast legendary actor Christopher Lee in several pictures. Danny Elfman has composed nearly all of the scores for Burton’s films.

Tim Burton’s films have a distinctly macabre yet fun tone. His movie tend to be gothic in style and retain a sense of fun and humor, which is a combination that many audience members have found amenable, as his films have been bona fide box office hits over the course of four decades thus far.
