1895 – On the 10th day of August this year the foremost Russian satirist of the Soviet period was born in Poltava, but spent most of his life in St. Petersburg where he attended the university.
1922 – His first collection of short stories was a major success, and he became one of the most popular Soviet writers of the 1920s and 30s era.
1933 – His longer works includes “Youth Restore”.
1936 – “The Blue Book” in this year was a combination of fiction and nonfiction.
1943 – He made an autobiographical titled “Before Sunrise “.
1946 – He became a victim of literary purge, he was expelled from the Union of Soviet Writers and his works were banned. His stories were not published within a decade.
1958 – He died on the 22nd day of July this year.
